Bears DT Tommie Harris(notes) responded to a recent critique in a discussion with reporters in the team's locker room on Wednesday.
Former Buccaneers and Raiders DT Warren Sapp(notes) called Harris a nfl throwback jerseys
"blind dog in a meat house" in an interview with a Chicago sports talk radio show Wednesday morning.
"That's what I am," Harris said. "I agree with what Warren says. Warren knows my (phone) number though. If he has anything to say, he can call me."
Harris was asked if those comments might motivate him heading into Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
"I could care less what he says," Harris said. "It looks like he's got that job and it's just to blast football players, not to motivate. It doesn't bother me at all. I just know I have to go out there and do my job."
Harris said Sapp, an NFL Network analyst, usually tweets or texts him, but he didn't ask Sapp to call him to discuss the "blind dog" comment.
"I was surprised," he said, before delivering a message to Sapp. "Thanks for saying that on air, but you know my number. Call me anytime, Warren."

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP)—Denver Nuggets coach George Karl was a special guest of Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels on Wednesday.
Both men were jokingly asked if Karl was at Dove Valley to seek advice on how to handle a superstar who wants out of town. The Nuggets are trying to persuade All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony to sign an extension.
McDaniels, who has sent Pro Bowl players Jay Minnesota Vikings jersey
Cutler(notes) and Brandon Marshall(notes) packing in his short time in Denver, feigned ignorance on the matter.
Karl said he didn’t know how to answer the question, either, but added: “Fortunately, it’s not my expertise or my realm of responsibility. My realm is to try to convince Melo to stay. And I’ll continue to do that when I have those opportunities.”
