Colts S Sanders undergoes surgery
The Colts announced Wednesday afternoon that safety Bob Sanders(notes) underwent surgery by Dr. James Andrews for a torn biceps tendon.
Sanders, who suffered the injury in the Week one loss at nfl jerseys
Houston, will remain on the 53-man active roster at this time as the club monitors his rehabilitation.
The club stated that "any timetable for the possibility of a return remains undetermined."
The 2007 Defensive Player of Pittsburgh Steelers jersey
the Year has a long injury history. He has played in only 46 games in his seven-year career, including eight total in 2008-09. A torn biceps also ended his '09 season in Week Eight.
The way we see it
The good news is that the team hasn't yet placed Sanders on injured reserve, which would end his season. However, that could be the team's course of action down the road.
Backup Melvin Bullit, who has started 21 games in the past two seasons and is familiar with the team's defensive system, is a capable replacement — Bullit came up with a big interception in the second quarter against the Texans — but he does not provide the same type of Minnesota Vikings jersey
physical presence that Sanders brings to the field.
